✅ Educational Qualifications – Full Details

 

Candidates applying for NTA UGC NET December 2025 must have the following academic qualifications:

 

Qualification Requirement

 

Master’s Degree / Equivalent Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university/institute

Minimum Marks (General / UR / EWS) 55% marks in Master’s degree

Minimum Marks (OBC / SC / ST / PwD / Transgender) 50% marks in Master’s degree

Appearing Students Final-year Master’s students can also apply (must complete degree within 2 years)

Subjects Relevant subject in post-graduation matching selected UGC NET subject

PhD Relaxation PhD degree holders (completed before 19.09.1991) get 5% relaxation
