📝 The Complete Mode of Selection Process

Mode of Selection (Detailed)

For KVS / NVS various posts (2025 cycle) the mode of selection is typically as follows:

1. Online Computer Based Test (CBT / Written Test)

The first stage: Objective type MCQ exam held online (for most posts).

For example, for NVS TGT: there is negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.

For KVS, many posts: no negative marking (depending on post) and exam duration around 3 hours.

2. Interview / Teaching Demonstration (for certain posts)

For teaching posts: after CBT, shortlisted candidates may be called for interview/teaching demo. The final merit may combine written + interview scores.

Some non-teaching posts may be selected purely on written test merit (no interview) as per post notification. e.g., ASO expected merit on written only.

3. Document Verification & Medical Fitness

Once shortlisted, candidates are required to produce original documents (educational certificates, category certificate, age proof, experience certificate) for verification.

Also, candidates may need to undergo medical fitness test as per organisation norms.

4. Final Merit List / Appointment

Based on CBT + interview (if applicable) + verification, a final merit list is drawn.

Appointment letters issued, posting to respective schools/cadres.

Note: Specific weightage, qualifying marks, and cut-offs vary by post. Always refer to the official notification for that year.
