Eligibility Criteria for CSIR UGC NET:
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit:
For JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Maximum age of 28 years as of June 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.
For Lectureship (Assistant Professor): No age limit.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Science or related disciplines (like Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences) from a recognized university.
The candidate must have secured at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in the Master’s degree.
Candidates who are in the final year of their Master’s program can also apply.
Relaxation:
SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates get a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks.
